Parcel Lockers

by Home Mailbox Expert on August 22, 2011

Parcel lockers can be independently installed or integrated into a front-loading or rear-loading horizontal commercial mailbox. If you’re looking for a convenient and safe place to receive and store large packages on site then parcel lockers are ideal for your requirements.

Parcel lockers are commonly utilized in commercial locations such as business parks, private postal centers, university and college mailrooms, apartments, condominium complexes, and corporate mailrooms.

Parcel lockers keep mail and packages safe at all times.

Parcel lockers come with a two-key security system that guarantees mail safety especially now that incidents of identity theft are rising. The USPS carrier (or any individual in charge of mail delivery) leaves one parcel locker key in the mailbox upon parcel delivery. When the recipient opens the parcel locker, that key is retained automatically in the lock until it is removed with the use of a control key.

Parcel locker specifications

Parcel lockers come in wall mount and pedestal applications. They are also available in a wide array of finishes, pedestal stand bases, and engraved doors.

Wall mounted parcel lockers come with a hinged rear door for rear-access. They are designed for installation between rack ladders. Rack ladders can form a column of parcel lockers as they can support up to five parcel locker units.

Built for outdoor applications for both residential and outdoor delivery, outdoor parcel lockers (OPLs) are made of heavy-duty aluminum. They are ideal for USPS package deliveries. Each outdoor parcel locker can be mounted on a base of your choice or on an optional pedestal.
